Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Brahmastra' continues to make headlines even after its release. The second part of the film has already gone on floors and there is much curiosity amongst fans to know who would be playing Amrita and Dev in Brahmastra 2. Several media reports even claimed that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh might essay the roles of Amrita and Dev after a picture of the actress holding baby Shiva in the first film went viral. Now Ayan Mukerji’s reaction to this has left everyone shocked.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Ayan was shown a viral picture of Deepika’s scene from the first part of the film, however, he reacted to this with a cross-question. He asked, “Do we have her in part one?.” The filmmaker asserted that since the scene is dark, the face of the character is not clearly visible to him. Mukerji was quoted saying, “I think you have imagined it. I think it was in that particular screen. Interestingly, Alia who was sitting next to him interrupted and stated that everything will be revealed when the time is right.   “I think, it’s what you want to see. Har cheese ko batane ka ek waqt hota hai (There’s a time to tell everything,” the mom- to- be explained. To this, the director stated, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.”

Ayan Mukerji refused to confirm Deepika Padukone’s presence in the first and second parts of Brahmastra as he said, “What you want to see is what you see. We are not confirming only that Deepika is a part of part one or a part of part two yet.” Meanwhile, the shooting of Brahmastra 2 has started and it will depict the life of Shiva’s parents Amrita and Dev. The first installment of the trilogy also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The fantasy drama has minted Rs. 360 crores worldwide at the box office.
